About our Client Our client is a well established utilities business that has a first class reputation and is due to go through an exciting period of change management. Job Description Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for leading 20 staff across 3 teams incorporating a General Ledger team, a Fixed Assets team and an Accounts Payable team. The key focus of the role will be controlling the financial and accounting methods practices and procedures of the organisation to achieve optimum accuracy and performance. Your primary accountabilities will include managing the month end close process, the preparation of board papers and ensuring that all balance sheet reconciliations are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Additionally, you will promote and facilitate the implementation of strategies and process improvements to maintain financial integrity, effective internal controls and operational efficiency. The Successful Applicant CA/CPA qualified, you will possess a strong background in financial accounting and managing medium sized teams within a large corporate environment. High energy levels and a proactive approach will be critical to your success in the role, as will the ability to effectively and confidently communicate with all levels of management and staff.
