Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for completing the necessary research and financial modelling required to complete initial financial plans as well as undertaking the necessary technical calculations and checking procedures to ensure the technical accuracy of portfolios.

Duties:

  • Under supervision, assembles the necessary information and documentation needed to compile portfolio reports and financial models

  • Assists in the preparation of financial plan recommendations for clients, based on the strategy and client objectives outlined by the financial planner

  • Prepares and coordinates regular portfolio reviews and transfers client funds where appropriate

  • Assists in the completion of investment paperwork for financial planners

  • Checks all information and undertakes relevant calculations using relevant software packages

  • Ensures financial advice reports are prepared in the appropriate format, including any flow charts, graphics and supporting material

  • Assists with client services queries and in seminar preparation

Qualifications required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce and/or Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning) preferred

  • RG 146 compliant or willing to undertake studies on appointment

Experience required :

  • Experience in working with financial planning software packages

  • Experience in researching and preparing financial advice reports and providing recommendations
