project officer required for government department on the gold coast

randstad is currently recruiting a project officer for a busy project on the gold coast. The role is to start within the month of September and will be initially for 3 months with a possibility of extension.

The role will be the equivalent of an AO4-AO5 level and will involve the following:

  • Coordinating and taking minutes/action items from the Project Review Group
  • Coordinating the Risk Management Process for the Project
  • Supporting the Program Services Manager and Team Leader with organisation of papers for meetings and some diary management
  • Coordinating the Monthly Reporting process with chasing up submissions, developing the draft document and finalising the completed doc
  • Completion of Expenditure Vouchers for processing of invoices
  • Other support of the Team as needed

This role is a mixture of administration and project officer duties and the client is looking for a candidate who is happy to 'get their hands dirty' and be flexible.

To be successful for this role, you will have;

  • Experience working in a similar role within a Government deparment (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience working to a project management methodology
  • Experience working in an infrastructure area highly desirable
  • Ability to start within September
  • Hardworking, flexible attitude
