Support Analyst - Applications - Wealth Management

This leading wealth management company's technology division provides services, support and technology solutions to enable the businesses to deliver their products and services in a cost effective and efficient way.
Reporting to the Support Lead, the focus of this role will be to provide support to the businesses systems. This will require a comprehensive understanding of client-server application design principles. This role will suit an experienced Analyst/Programmer or Support Specialist who has an understanding of support principles and the ability to troubleshoot complex application problems.
Key accountabilities:

  • Resolve production incidents and assist in major incidents resolution
  • Provide 24x7 support coverage on a rostered basis
  • Involve in disaster recovery planning and execution
  • Eliminate repeated operational activities in production support
  • Assist as a stakeholder in software upgrades and roll-outs
  • Support and further business and technical knowledge of the users and partners

Position requirements:

  • Two to five years relevant industry experience
  • Awareness of Superannuation, Investment Accounting or Retail Trust products
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in VMS, COBOL, SQL Server, SPAN, DCL
  • Familiarity with security and audit principles
  • Knowledge of ITIL and / or COBIT principles
  • High Impact Situation management
  • Experience in Production Support environment (highly regarded)
