Our client specialises in the manufacture, sale, hire and maintenance of diesel-powered people carriers, along with light and heavy duty utility vehicles predominantly used in the underground coal mining industry.

They are currently seeking a Trade Qualifed Fitter Machinist for an immediate start. This is a permanent position for the right candidate, and may involve site work at times (site allowance paid).

Duties of this position include:

- Repairs and maintenance on machines and gear
- Machining items for finished parts
- Occasional site work with both Mechanical and Splicing crews
- Ensure all conveyor installation, repair and maintenance activities and equirement supplied / installed is compliant with safety legislation, Australian Standards, regulations and codes of practice.

To be successful in this role, applicants will need to posses the following qualities:

- Trade Qualification in Machining
- Experience in the manufacture and repair of steel and poly items
- Knowledge of safety standards and requirements, good track record of safety
- Able to work effectively as part of a team, with good communication skills
